"I worked at AMG Vanadium for more than a year Cons: If you're salary and they are done with you they will rail road you out the door. They will terminate you. The termination can be wrongful in your eyes but not illegal according to the laws. They do what they can to go o the fence when discharging someone and know enough to not cross that fence so you have no recourse against unjust discharge"

says

"I have been working at AMG Vanadium for more than 10 years Cons: Management treat workers poorly at best.dose not honor contract with union long hours in horrible working conditions very high risk health and safety forced to work with junk equipment in unsafe environment getting worse by the day management says workers are nothing more than dumb inbred hillbillies"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at AMG Vanadium full-time for more than a year Cons: High turn over, management treats employees poorly, any reason people work there is because there are not many other jobs in Cambridge. Long shifts. Long hours. The current plant manager is arrogant and inconsiderate."

Current Employee - Administrative says

"I have been working at AMG Vanadium full-time for more than a year Cons: They make up positions for friends/family of upper management and promote people with NO proven experience."

Current Employee - Junior Salary says

"I have been working at AMG Vanadium full-time for more than a year Cons: Management is poor at interacting with employees. The tension between Union and salary makes it a miserable place for everyone."

Melt shop Supervisor (Current Employee) says

"HR team and management will lie to get people in the door they quickly find out different Cons: Long term employees are dying of cancer at an alarming rate"

Operator (Former Employee) says

"Management and training is poor and they don't care about your safety or you as an employee. Management shows favoritism and they don't appreciate the hard working employees. Cons: Long hours, poor management, lack of training, management shows favoritism."

Safety Department Support (Former Employee) says

"this company is interesting and you will learn a lot but u can't trust anyone who works there and your job very likely will change every single day. The training is lousy and they don't know how to manage that place. PASS"

Employee (Former Employee) says

"HR doesn’t communicate well with department heads. New hire orientation is all over the place. You constantly feel your job could be in jeopardy and your just a number Cons: Poor management, swing shift training is minimum, Toxic dust make sure you wear a respirator"

Intern (Current Employee) says

"I show up with little training, mostly you read how to do the job and spend more time reading then actually learning to do it. Then you are not treated very well if you don't know how to do the job right away because you had read it. The hours are long, it is dirty, not a place for someone with allergies. Some management is ok, but not in my area. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the supervisors jekyll and hyde personality, the most enjoyable part of the job is learning new aspects of the job, getting paid, and going home. Cons: supervisors that doesn't care about you"

Laborer/Mobile Equipment Operator (Former Employee) says

"union shop where the company refuses to work cooperatively with the union employees. Company is always micro managing and watching every move you make for any little slip up so they can terminate you. Great pay and benefits with shifts 6a-6p, 6p-6a, and 7a-3p."

Maintenance Planner/Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"A job that pays good for the area. Culture is improving but has a long way to go. Not much room for career advancement here. Still a lack of communication on management's side. Right hand still don't know what the left is doing until it's time to do it."
